I am late jumping on board this title. I was inspired to do so by the HUB airing the original cartoons. I missed the original G.I. Joe A Real American Hero craze being 18 in 1982 I was more concerned with other pursuits. I should have stuck with action figures (L).

Not being a “hardcore” fan lets me enjoy Hama’s effort here with fresh eyes. I love it!

It reads retro but not too much. It is the “brain candy” I want from a series featuring these characters. Not that the other efforts are bad, they just didn’t click like this does.

The art is done well. The military equipment and scenery especially.

If you can watch the cartoons and read the Marvel run and smile, buy this.
