HOW COME MY HEALING FACTOR DOESN’T WORK ON THIS RASH?

Like a 14 year-old bride in a polygamy cult, Dan Johnson is being freed from a live of bliss…or IS he? Our hero, Gemini, was confronted by his old handler last ish so that she could spill the beans and tell his alter ego, Dan Johnson, that he was secretly a customer-made super hero who was unaware that he was living two separate lives. Well, just like everything else in the Faerberverse, things don’t go as smoothly as you’d expect. Once things get moving, however, Dan Johnson is easily convinced to take action and fight off a team of special agents sent to take him down. It’s a pretty simple issue, overall, and we finally get to meet the person who runs The Constellation and has been pulling all the strings (by all indications, The Constellation has a really good dental plan). While the story moves along quickly and we get limited action, the artwork is phenomenal. It’s not quite manga, but it is cartoonish, and the exaggerated limbs and features go a long way to creating a real sense of movement and animation to the scenes. To top it off, the last page gives us one hell of a tease for a major fight next issue with one of Image’s hottest properties (not gonna spoil it!)! Is this really only issue #3? It really seems like we’re waiting an awful long time for this five-issue series.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
