Frankenstein is probably the lesser of Lemire's two new 52 books, but it's tons of fun anyway. While Animal Man seems like he's really trying to write the best story he can manage, Frankenstein is a bit looser. It's like reading candy, you should just sit back and enjoy it. Actually, it's more like reading a video game, complete with boss battles. The artwork definitely takes some getting used to, and I don't think I'm quite there yet. I think that all of the monsters in the book look like Calvin's oatmeal when it used to attack him. That said, probably the funniest thing I read this week is from this book, when we learn that the bride of Frankenstein is on team Jacob. Or, at least team Warren. At the very least, the monsters in this book are wayyy more BA then the "monsters" in twilight. I require all new comics to have a vampire with a machine gun in them.
