FrankenCastle concludes.

Dan Brereton lends his iconic Creature Feature styled art to this finale. That makes me enjoy it a lot. I will admit the style doesn’t fit what I have come to expect from this book, but I did enjoy it.
After the poorly executed Daken X-Over this story seemed like another “last-minute” thing. IMO it should have been, and likely was, a 3 issue arc. But that is something we will never know.
Sadly it comes of rushed and a sad end to a bad idea that IMO worked.
I should have despised FrankenCastle, but I did not. Had this not been an iconic Marvel character, maybe just a tough guy cop or soldier I think it would have been praised as brilliant fun. Remender deserves praise for moxie. But where FrankenCastle fails in it’s conclusion it did succeed early on.
Brereton’s pencils are the salt and lemon to the hard to swallow cheap shot of an end here.

I can only recommend it’s purchase to the few people, like me, who enjoyed this ride.
