Having been away from comics for a looooong time, I returned just after the release of the new 52. So I was looking forward to this collection. It was absolutely fantastic. The artwork is breathtaking and the storyline was extremely gripping even for someone who knew how it was basically going to end. In fact, I opened it as soon as I got home and was just going to read a few pages, but didn’t put it down until I’d gotten to the last page.
There were a couple characters I wasn’t familiar with, but that didn’t pose any problems following the plot.
For someone who wasn’t around for the Flashpoint series, this book is a must-have.
The only bad part was the sadness I felt realizing that this storyline is now over.
