The sole reason I had for picking up this issue was that Jimmy Palmiotti wrote it. I expected a fun, well crafted tie-in about a Pirate/ Super villain. What I didn’t expect was that this issue interested me more than any of the Flashpoint books to date. Palmiotti crafts this version of Deathstroke as a badass Buccaneer with noble intentions deep beneath his scurvy exterior. I found myself also interested in his pirate crew, which would make up a very interesting dynamic for a super villain team. I can’t recommend this book enough. Tons of fun on every page.
