  2. Johns proved what I’ve thought all along: his execution of good to great ideas is more often than not terribly subpar.

  3. I genuinely loved the last 6-7 pages of this final issue. Really emotional stuff. The rest of it, however – plus the other 4 issues? You can put that into the “Need Not See Unless You Give A Crap About Barry Allen” file.

    • It was a good Barry Allen story, I agree. But when it’s all over, there’s no reason this should be the story that ends the old DCU and ushers in the new. If this whole miniseries had just happened in the regular Flash title (like Wonder Woman’s little alternate-universe detour), it would have worked just as well; instead, it tries to carry the weight of a company-wide reboot, and doesn’t pull it off.
