This is a conclusion to the first arc of the great Johns/Manapul run on the Flash. This installment was a nice change in that the Flash had to use his detective and CSI skills to solve the case, save his girl and keep the universe in order. The end of the story featured a nice hint to other parts of Brightest Day and if you’ve been reading some of those books, its a fun easter egg. There was one lettering error towards the end of the book where an unformated block of text appears behind a speech bubble that most everyone has seemed to notice. Such a weird book….every issue is delayed, but every issue has lettering and production errors that makes it seem rushed.

I really loved this run and i have a tough decision to make going forward. Put up with the continued delays or just trade wait? This series is so much fun, that if it were delivered in a timely fashion it would be a no brainer POW contender every issue and an automatic purchase.

I’m hoping then next arc continues the same quality and level of fun, and i’m glad we’re starting to see a Brightest Day connection.

Story: 4 - Very Good
