Wow, got a double dip of Friebreather this week. Not only does the movie come out, but also the start of a new 4 part mini.

A bit of background for those who have read Firebreather, there was going to be a ongoing some time ago, but they switched to the Hellboy model. Now onto the review.

The story picks up right where the last mini ended, Duncan heading home after the tragic event with his father, and having to live with it with out telling anyone what happened. Mean while, he has this feeling he is being fallowed.

There is great character work in this issue, where Duncan is faced with this idea that those who he calles friends, may not truely be his friends.

Now one thing I notice, this book may not be for new readers. I really hate to say that, but I know people are going to pick this up and not know what is going on in some parts, even more so if they picked it up after seeing the movie. It doesn’t have a first issue feel, but then again it was ment to be issue 5 of the on going.

Outside of that, I really enjoyed this book.
