So if Crank was a comic book staring Carl from Aqua Teen, I think this would be what it is. It says a whole hell of a lot about your character when the first thing he does that isn’t in flash back is punch a nurse. This issue felt oily and finishing it made me feel even more dirty, but it wasn’t horrible. I’m blanking on what else Sturges has written recently but this was solid enough. I like how utterly unredeemable the character is at this point. He got his partner killed, he used his ex’s old feelings to get what he wanted from her (though I am surprised he didn’t sleep with her before stealing the car. I guess that’s what makes DC different from Marvel) He even stole his kid’s bike. If this series just shows how much more of a dick he can be it should be fun if forgettable.
