Wow, this was great! Fraction found the perfect balance of light-hearted fun, serious drama, witty humor, and plot development. Best issue yet.

The Doom storyline/ Old John Storm prophecy is taking shape smoothly, albeit savagely and impending “doomily”, the family dynamic is still being played with on multiple levels, and the mistrust between members could not have come at a worse time (but provided many great moments, especially between the kids- the dialogue is hilarious.) This issue has it all, and executes in a way that the reader can feel their hand on the shifter as it accelerates out of the turn. Superb.

The Allreds nail the art on this issue (like always). The storytelling feels more energetic than issues past, and the expressions are exceptional. It’s hard to describe, but this is some of the most “cartoonishly human” characters I have ever seen, especially She-Hulk and Darla. They are great. The color pallet needs special mention: Laura Allred you MAKE this book, you give it the wonderfully fresh feel that separates it from most on the shelves. All-around phenomenal.

This issue was excellent on every level. All the aspects came together for a truly wonderful experience. Plus She-Hulk fights Medusa in her underwear like something out of “The Bad Girls Club.” You don’t get stuff like that anywhere else, and that’s why I read this book.
