“FF” has become one of my favorite titles and issue #3 keeps me anxious for the next book. Jonathan Hickman is an excellent writer and is really laying out the ground work for a great run with this title. This book begins to set up war between the four cities and I’m excited to see it all play out in Hickman’s capable hands. I’m am still wondering why Spider-Man is on the team. His contribution’s consist of little more than throwing in the occasional funny one-liner and appearing completely lost. I know Hickman has plans for him and I’m ready to see them.

Steve Epting is my favorite artist in the business right now. I love how his pencils offer incredible detail in each panel and his characters are beautiful. This issue is no different. Epting follows up his great Captain America work with strong art on “FF”.

I’ve always been a long distant Fantastic Four fan. I’ve followed them in spurts. But Hickman and Epting have me genuinely excited about this book. I know we’re only 3 issues into it, but my confidence in the creative team is pretty high so far.

Story: 4 - Very Good
