Fear Itself #1 makes me hate Matt Fraction with a burning, jealous, rage. Don’t get me wrong, I love the man’s work, it is some of the best in the industry, but any man who gets to wield the mighty powerhouse that is Stuart Immonen deserves to be the object of my resentment. However, what Matt Fraction does with that power in Fear Itself #1, is what makes me love Fraction. I haven’t read a Marvel superhero book in a year due to budget, but i had absolutely no trouble getting my value out of this comic, especially with the extra pages. Nothing beats more Immonen for my buck. I can’t wait to tell my girlfriend that Matt Fraction is the reason I’m going over budget for the next seven months, but even a scorned loved-one isn’t going to keep me from this book.
P.S. I’m strangely in love with the lettering in this book! Great job Chris Eliopolis!
