There’s not a lot to add about Hickman’s Fantastic Four run.  He’s still cranking out A level one shot issues that tie in to a larger story arc which is about to get much, much larger.

I just feel bad for each successive artist who isn’t Dale Eaglesham.  Epstein’s art is very good.  In fact it’s good enough that I stopped and looked at a background character in one of his panels, and then one of the F4 and noticed something that I might have missed with a lesser artist (look real closely at the Reed Council when they show up).  Still, I was showing the first trade volume of Hickman’s run to a customer, and it really drilled in that poor Epstein, and anyone else who works on this title for a while will be Not Eaglesham. It just isn’t fair to them.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
