Died like a goddamned man, did Boy Blue. Fables 81 brings a dignified end to probably the best character of the series, and it was better than any big battle heroic death. Blue died in bed, surrounded by everyone he loved and everyone who loved him. Masterfully written, and one of the rare occasions where a tear managed to escape the fortress of manhood that are my eyes.
Plus, his three or four page tearing apart of Rose Red put her in her place and made it all the worse by the fact that he was the greatest thing that could have ever happened for her. Maybe she'll fall in love with Mister Dark or something.
Speaking of Mister Dark, he's always so entertaining to watch. Poor eyeless dude (For the life of me I can't recall his name). Even though Mister Dark hasn't done anything as grandiose as becoming the 'Adversary' (that we know of), he's still far and away more menacing than Gepetto has ever been in the series.
Farewell Boy Blue.
