Fables hits a big milestone this month as it hits it’s 100 issues. Big props to the creative team of Buckingham and Leialoha for having one of the consistently good runs of comics on the shelves. Fables has really become like Ultimate Spider-Man of Vertigo for me, there has maybe been 2 arcs in 100 issues that I didn’t enjoy. Now onto the issue itself. For the number of pages it was, I felt it was a little rushed, it felt like they had to pack in everything to finish this arc so that the new revelations can affect the next arc. That being said, it was still very enjoyable for Buckingham’s art alone, the action played really well and through this long run he’s been able to handle all the crazy magical happenings with ease. The backups were okay, with the highlights being the “Burning Questions” with some awesome artists. While I didn’t love the way the story progressed, I still can’t wait for the next arc. Here’s to another 100 issues

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
