I first became interested in this series when it was teased in Worlds of Aspen #3, the Free Comic Book Day offering  from Aspen Comics in 2008.  For almost a year of local comic shop owners not knowing what I was talking about, Aspen released #0.

Some two years after the tease, we now reach #5 and have only one issue until we part.    Some feel the all-servicing, ninja assassins known as the Executive Assistants to be a guilty diet of cheesecake, but I find it to be more ninjas than knockers ...but with a dash corporate-criminal intrigue.  It's more like:

"Elektra, this is excellent tea.  Book my flight to Singapore and arrange that conference call to Seattle.  Oh, and kill your boyfriend.  I know I wanted you to seduce him to find out what he knows, but I think he's going to expose my crime syndicate to the Feds."

I've grown fond of Iris.  After a life of honorable servitude, she questions the morality of her surroundings and duties while struggling with the concept of experiencing the alien and seemingly selfish concept of love.

I'm sure the death of Michael Turner hindered the scheduling somewhat, but this book has suffered throughout its existence from its prolonged and sporadic publishing schedule.  This scheduling has spread and divided the book's plot and rhythm to a thin staccato.  These short bursts make it harder to care about Iris because any cliffhanger would dangle her for so long that you forget what cliff she was dangling from.  Poor Iris.

One more issue to go with Iris and then we await Rose.
