What?  You haven’t read the trades about one of the coolest (albeit, ineffectual) supraheroes to ever be repeatedly tied up whilst barely wearing anything?  What have you been doing, non-genius?

Staying true to the trades, Adam Warren throws a fun, self-aware suprahero satire in comic form at the shelves this week.  If you like Giffen’s writing, but wish he’d team up with an amaizng penciler, well, look no further.  Ok, so, as far as I know Giffen hasn’t written anything about any heroes with easily torn superhero outfits, but Empowered would fit right in with Giffen’s Hero Squared, and some of his more satirical DC work.  If you’re a fan of well written, and gorgeously pencilled super-hero satire, or you’re the kind of pervert who gets off on the K-Mart Catalog (not that those two categories are mutually exclusive), you should picj up this issue and see if it wows you enough to buying the trades.

Story: 4 - Very Good
