DYNAMO 5 #14

This issue was another solid issue by Jay Faerber. It’s obvious that Faerber has a great love for the super-hero genre and a history as a fan as he uses one of the tried and true dramatic tricks of a team book, the disbanding of the team, and finds a new way to address it as Scrap talks to guest-star Zephyr Noble.

The art is very good as usual. The only thing I think didn’t work was there wasn’t enough time spent on the “World Without Dynamo 5” theme to give it the appropriate gravity. But I am looking forward to the next issue.

This is consistly one of the most imaginative and fun superhero books on the stands.

  1. Guest star, eh? There seems to be a lot of that kind of thing going on in this series. As much as this book pimps Noble causes, I’m still not to interested in picking up Noble.

but I dig this book fine.

  2. I’ve really been enjoying the series.  I wasn’t too interested in Noble Causes either, but my comic shop had a 50% off sale, so I picked up the first two trades.  Weeks later, I’m dying to get my hands on the last two trades.  That’s a damn good series, just like this one.

  3. Hmmm. I am a little interested in Noble Causes. But the artwork hasn’t sold me yet.
