Holy #!@$ this sleeper event started good! I have to be honest I did drop an issue of Black Panther a few months back on a filler issue but now that this event has taken place I’m beginning to wonder if it’s high time I returned to the main series.

Doom War proved to be an elegantly written tale that was both decompressed and filled with action. At the end of the issue we arrive at a conclusion of sorts which sated my appetite while still leaving me wanting more. On top of that Scot Eaton’s pencils were pretty damn impressive, you could tell he’s influenced by Paul Medina and Terry Dodson, he’s absolutely someone to watch out for. In short it’s definetly one of the more under rated events going on in the Marvel U and if you remotely enjoy Black Panther, Storm or Dr. Doom and aren’t picking this up, you are doing yourself a large disservice. I’ve never been so blown away by an event issue. Best 8 dollars ever spent. (I have the variant, worth every penny).

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
