I was a little worried when I found out J.H Williams III wasn’t doing Detective anymore, but my fears were laid to rest when I read the first part of “Cutter”. Jock’s style can be described as taking what Williams did with the present day and the flashbacks of the previous art and mixing them together. Even the fun panel layouts are similar. We get a serial killer who is actually menacing and a good convo with Kate’s cousin Bette…and Batman’s in it, too. This story has a lot of potential.

Speaking of potential, the Question Co-Feature continues to impress me as the cliffhanger from last issue is resolved in a very clever manner, much to the chagrin of Rodor. No one ever talks about the Question back-up, but it’s really good!
