Wow. This is the best comic I’ve read in a long time. Possibly the best single issue that I’ve read this year. I dont want to spoil a thing about the story of this book, so I wont say much, just that in the short span of this one issue, Brian Wood created these incredible characters that you felt such sympathy and understanding towards. To me, it’s amazing that he was able to accomplish this in a single issue, as the bond I felt with these characters by the end was stronger than I’ve felt for some other characters that have ongoing series that I read. On the art side, Becky Cloonan really knocked this one out of the park, it was beautiful as always. So I’m really sad to see this volume of Demo end, but it couldn’t have went out on a more perfect note.
