It was not too long ago, somewhere around the time there were no less than seven books with 'Deadpool' in the title, that we all wished Deadpool were dead; now it seems we're getting our wish.
Deadpool as a character has had a bit of a rocky path over the last few years ever since he stopped being Cable's best bud, but finally Deadpool is back on track. These last few issues have brought ol' 'Pool to a level of entertainment he once was.
Once Deadpool was a nuanced, multi-leveled character, filled with grief and self-loathing masked by a desire to maim. Somewhere along the road, he lost what made him special, but with the current arc, he's starting to come back.
Watching Wade's diabolical scheme slowly unfold gives untold access into his psychosis, using friends as chess pieces with the sole purpose to end his own life.
Will Deadpool's plan pan out and end with the apparent demise of one Wade Wilson, or will the people he surrounds himself with turn out to be true friends?

I used to be really into Deadpool when he first started getting “uber” popular and just got sick of him. I think having him go away for awhile might be a good idea.
If you don’t read his books, how can you be sick of them? Does their existance bother you, bigot?
Yeow. That’s harsh.
Sorry, I get emotional. That was a bit much, and you are entitled to your own opinion.
It’s alright. I still think Deadpool is an interesting character; Marvel has just seemed to over-saturate the market with him, which is maybe where my mixed feelings have come from.
I just think it’s important to remember that Marvel has fixed there mistake- Deadpool makes a few cameos and such, but this is his only ongoing right now.
