Ok so now I’m getting the hang of this book. This issue was extremely tragic for me. At first I felt that it was just meant to be tragic for the drama of it all and not really for the story (after all each story ends with each issue, sort of). But I have really enjoyed the insight and philosophy in the previous issues so I can’t just say this book was getting old, too sad and predictable. I remembered something about the creators saying that this was about the choices we make. So maybe Bras is making all the wrong choices, in the one issue he becomes “successful” he dies the most tragic death? I have decided to go out of my way and continue to be hopeful that “daytripper” is a meaningful book. I think in the final issue Bras will make the right decisions and not die a horrible death. It will be interesting to see what the right decision is. Apparently if your Bras it isn’t writing a novel to be in your fathers world and making a family to be in your mothers world.
