I’ll be honest. The last issue had got me clamoring for Daken.
At the time I had recalled how ifanboy POW and around comics podcasts mention the
marvel focus for SEIGE being polycentric, specifically towards tie-ins.
Needless to say I couldn’t resist the impulse to “expect” a pay off, an aftermath,
repercussions. Opening this issue brought me back down to cruel cold reality as
Liu and Way let me down. I had forgotten the colossal authority wielded by editorial.
Does the last issue matter? No. Does this one? No. The moral of the story? If
you value Daken as a character more than you value a good story, pick this
issue up. If you value story… you can still buy it. It makes for extravagant
toilet paper.
