DARK TOWER LONG ROAD HOME #1 (OF 5)

Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series is one of the greatest epics ever to have been written and the comics are no exception.  This issue continues right where “The Gunslinger Born” left off, telling the story of Roland Deschain and his companions.  The storytelling is great and the artwork supporting it is perfect.  The only problem is that the Dark Tower comic line is basically a retelling of stories already found in the book series, so for true Tower Junkies it might seem a little redundant.  The good thing, though, is that this allows new readers to delve into the Gunslinger’s world and the added story detail makes it an enjoyable experience for the die-hard as well.

Note: You shouldn’t start reading “The Long Road Home” until you’ve read “The Gunslinger Born.”

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
