Man, I hope iFanboy is wrong about Fantastic Four. They say the series
will never be able to go past it’s core fans, as evidenced by the fact
that Millar and Hitch couldn’t make the regular title sell, and that’s
a shame as Hickman is doing some absolutely astounding work on this
mini. I love the way that he writes Sue in this. Regardless of the
reality, she’s always strong willed and doing what she thinks is write.
I mean really, only one tooth to scurvy. That’s impressive. I think his
Ben is probably the only one that really changes from reality to
reality, but it’s just fun to see him as a pirate or aristocrat or
whatever Hickman thinks up. The art is spectacular. The only qualm I
have is I can’t imagine Reed letting his kids swear, even if it is a
mild one.
