What was turning out to be an awesome, important, realistic (relatively) story has derailed into near-farce with the issue. Last issue featured a well-delivered scene where we see Milla with a Matt-looking kid. Gold. This issue we see Ben Urich escape his deadly confrontation with....the cold-as-steel assassin Elektra!!! Oh wait, nevermind. She's a soccer mom. AND she ALSO has a Matt-looking kid. Wow, Bendis or/and Mack, you are just so incredibly clever. Okay, next we meet.....YES! Awesome, this is gonna be good, Typhoid Mary! Daredevil's most twisted crazy villain/girlfriend! And what's this? Third time's a charm? Really? She has TWO Matt-looking kids! Even Ben Urich must realize the absurdity, when he finally asks if they're Matt's kids. And then lastly, the most attention goes to Daredevil's most-forgettable and least-impacting girlfriend, Echo. Who gets a double-page, painted, love-making (in a G-Rated sense), spread because she was only ever seen in David Mack's run. A limited series I've had so much faith in now has me completely polarized. The art's still good though.
