Diggle and De Lat Torre’s Daredevil run has been a welcome change of pace from the sad, dead or dying girlfriend-centric arcs that preceded it.  And while I was enjoying Brubaker’s run (and Bendis’s before it), this bad-ass (though still a bit self-doubting and mopey) Matt Murdock is a lot more interesting.  I don’t know how long he can run The Hand before the story goes stale or seems out of character, but for it’s fresh and exciting to read.  It’s, by far, the best Marvel work Diggle has done.  And De La Torre’s Maleevish art hits me in all the right places.

  1. I haven’t read 504 yet, but I couldn’t agree more about Diggle’s run on DD so far.  I haven’t read his other stuff, but so far I am enjoying these past few issues more than a lot of the Brubaker run.  Will I still feel like that when Diggle’s done?  Who knows.  Maybe..
