This has to be the 27th time Wilson Fisk has returned to New York from some faraway land seeking vengeance from those who would plot against him and for some reason, it never gets old.

The Kingpin has to be one of the most interesting villains in the Marvel Universe and here Brubaker is back to form.  I wasn’t terribly impressed with the Lady Bullseye arc but these last two issues centering around the Kingpin have been something great.  The Kingpin’s never better than he is simmering with revenge and, right now, he’s looking to destroy his enemies at all costs.  Both his interactions with the people at Josie’s and with Murdock were great indicators of the events to come.  I’m still not happy with making Matt cheat on Milla and the whole ramifications of that, but this whole war Fisk, Daredevil, and the Hand is sure going to interesting.

Lark’s art looks unusually good this time around which is usualy fantastic in the first place.  The colorist and inker really brought his pencils out this issue.  Add that to the writing and the promise of what’s to come and this was a really special issue, same as last time.

Story: 5 - Excellent
