This book is completely horrific. There were parts that were just terrible in Garth Ennis’ first mini-, but this book just take it all to a whole new level of depravity. It’s hard to read, which I guess is a good thing. If it wasn’t I’d be wondering about my own grip on sanity. Where Garth knew that the first series was all about setting the mood, and making you scared of being caught by the infected, Lapham just goes all out with the shock value. Leaving NOTHING to the imagination. Be warned this book is NOT for the faint of heart. I don’t even know how to judge the enjoyment factor of this book. It’s more morbid curiosity then anything else. I’m not offended by anything Lapham is doing, but I’m not dying to see what fucked up thing he’s gonna do next, either.

I’m not an art critic, but I totally thought this was a different artist on this issue. Had to look it up. Perhaps the artist is getting rushed, I dunno, but it was not as good as last issue. Characters faces even looked different from last issue. Ugh.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 2 - Average
