When I opened this issue up, the first thing that jumped out
at me was that they ditched the single color tone that they did back in the
first arch.
They mixed two colors based on the time frame that center events took place.
Red and Green for the present, Blue and Yellow in the Past, and Mahogany Brown
and Tan for the Psychotherapy Session of Duncan.
I had not issue with the new color scheme; I enjoyed the color combo they chose
to fit the mood of what was going on at that time; however the story was all
over the place.

When I say allover the place, I mean Time wise. Though the
colors tell you what time frame you are in, it get confusing on how it all fit
in. Between the Past and Present is 4 days. In the past, they story tell
about Duncan and his relationship issues between Grear and Nix, so Doc set Duncan
up for the therapy sessions. Mean while they are briefed on a job to Bangkok to pick up a nuke, which is leads to them being in
Bangkok in the
present. Yet the odd thing is, Duncan
has 33 sessions in between those 4 days, which just felt awkward and weird to
read.

 Other then the time
issue, I though the story was pretty good. The dialog with the triplets is and
how they react is my favorite part of it. Plus the twist at the end of the issue is a great cliff hanger.

As I said, the art is really nice
with the new colors scheme, which was refreshing to see, and the pages that featured
Duncan’s
session, where quite unique to look at.

If you are a fan of the last arch, I’m sure you will like this. The issue may
feel a little disorienting to new readers, seeing as I was confused by it at
parts, so I’m not sure if I

would recommend this as a jumping on point.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
