This issue was all about adding depth. Not only to Courtney and Holly but to the kids who picked on Courtney as well. We learn that Susan and Allie were stealing money for a reason and that Gareth may have learned something from being the outcast. I don’t think Courtney ever thought of herself as noble but I think that this is the first time she realized why everyone is so scared of her. Great issue.
True, not noble in the sence that she was helping people, but Courtney always felt like she was in the right when it came to cursing those kids, and believes herself as a person who can be “trusted” to use magic responsibly.
But I did forget to mention the depth added to the kids, thank you for pointing that out.
