I’ve heard mixed reviews of the first issue, but I liked it! But now that the “issue # 1” luster is gone, it’s time to get to the story. We see John travel to Myanmar (and it’s very tough NOT to make the Seinfeld joke here)to find the dial for the McGuffin-esque Croyden Compass while encountering both the new 52 versions of Mr. E and The Spectre. John is admittedly a bastard here, but you can’t help but root for the guy. While I’m not a Constantine offcianado, what I’ve read both DC and Vertigo, I’ve enjoyed so I think I’m going to stick with this book.

  1. I think I’m going to have to drop this. I wasn’t blown away by the first issue and this one just really didn’t impress me. I thought the story was…choppy at times, and the art was really rough. Shame…I love this character.
