I’m a sucker for “mundane sci-fi”, and this book really delivered a great introduction to a very cool premise. The story avoids info dumping the exposition and backstory, so you’ll probably finish the first issue with a few questions. But they’re the kind of questions that make you want the next issue, so I’m good with it!

The art is reminiscent of Chris Samnee, Michael Lark or John Paul Leon and it looks fantastic. I’m mostly impressed with the clean storytelling and Walsh’s ability to draw normal people in a way that makes them stand out as individuals.

All around, this was a very good read, and exactly the kind of thing I want out of non-superhero comics.
