It’s been nearly a year and a half since issue five, so I went back and read the first five issues tonight before writing this review.

The fact that it’s written by a guy named McCool says about all you need to know. It’s story is more concept and art than cohesive panel to panel storytelling. But as long as you’re willing to make some leaps to follow the storytelling, this was a fun book.

Templesmith’s art is Templesmith’s art. I love it. If you’re a fan of his, this is a five star book. If you’re not into his stylized look, this isn’t going to be the book that wins you over.

    I don’t need a spoiler but does this actually resolve the story? I am missing issues 5-6 because I wasn’t sure it was ever going to finish, but I’ll buy the trade if it is a full story.

    Yes. This is definitely the end of at the very least, an arc. And while I would probably pick up more issues of this title were they written, I didn’t finish the issue thinking “But, wait what about….?”

    I think it will be a satisfactory trade.
