Regardless of the numerous delays, Choker has been an immensely fun series right from the beginning; it’s a dark, gritty crime book in the same style as Fell, only it takes on a more supernatural twist, a la 30 Days of Night. Ben McCool writes it brilliantly, crafting characters we believe in and respect; there are very few lapses in the style and the consistently dark tone keeps the reader on edge throughout, alongside the handful of twists in the tale provided within this issue. The art by Ben Templesmith is, as ever, marvellous; an eerie style that captures the disturbing nature of the environment and contorts it in all manner of grisly ways. With the last issue not far off, Choker is sure to make a great trade paperback for anyone looking for a dark crime horror.

Story: 4 - Very Good
