What can I say about Chew that hasn’t already been said? It’s funny, it’s clever and the story actually has me coming back for more. Add in a unique art style and we’ve got the formula for another great issue.

We get more of our favorite food critic with that odd Peter Laurie-esque hat guy, Tony goes to jail, a chicken is exchanged, backs are stabbed and an interesting ending. Hell yes!

The other thing I enjoyed with this issue was the letter columns in which we were told there would be a one month break between issues 10 and 11. In an age when delayed comics are the norm, it’s nice to know about it ahead of time rather than arriving at the comic shop and being unfortunately surprised. Layman and Guillory are comic fans at heart and I’m assuming delayed comics piss them off too, but they informed us of a delay and the reason why when they didn’t have to. Most creators and companies just lay it in front of you without explanation or apology. These guys are class acts.
