Seeing that Al Barrionuevo and wil Quinntana do the art for the last four pages of this book I’m beginning to worry that Dextor Soy won’t be able to keep up with the deadlines. This arc wraps better than I expected. Though it doesn’t necessarilly get resolved. I liked the all female cast and though we don’t spend a great amount of time with all of them I feel they were pretty cool characters. They reminded me of the 2000’s Powerpuff Girls cartoon, but grown up and grizzled by war. A complaint I have is that the action only lasted about four pages and after that was dialouge leading into the next arc of Captain Marvel.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. The story is dragging a little bit, but it was a good issue overall. I still believe that the purpose of this story is making Carol retroactively the first Captain Marvel. Love Dexter Soy’s artwork, but the shared art duties are not sitting well with me.
