This is Paul Cornell's most complete issue of Captain Britain and MI 13 to date. The characters are tightly written, and the action is fun. The scary stuff is just scary enough, and the lighter moments are truly funny.
While I love Captain Midlands (who wouldn't love such a preposterous character?), he becomes even more interesting as we hit the end of this book. Without wanting to spoil, let's just say that the hardened WWII soldier is not exactly what one might predict.
The growing interplay between Blade and Spitfire is improving from month to month. In fact, within the group, it is clear that there are growing "special relationships". Without question, there is a special bond between the Black Knight and Faiza. Pete seems to interact with the agency guys. Only Captain Britain is isolated, and this appears to be by Cornell's design.
There is an excellent cliffhanger leading into next month's issue, and I honestly cannot wait. Great book.

I totally agree. Most cmplete issue so far. I really can’t understand why more people aren’t picking this up.
