After the bizarre ending to last issue we find a surprisingly less human Captain Atom at the beginning of the issue. Finally we learn what these numbers mean! In this issue Atom dives into a sort of time stream during a routine experiment at Megala's lab. What we get for a few subsequent scenes throughout the issue are moments of Nathaniel Adam's life, before he became Captain Atom, his moments up to becoming Captain Atom, and apparently his future as Captain Atom. Krul does a good job of giving plenty of exposition but I don't want to read about how Atom feels anymore. The ending has me intrigued and hopefully this visit by future Atom ties into why the world explodes 20 years from the present. I'll stick with this book through this arc if the quality stays consistent. The art is once again, fantastic.
