So I’m not doing a Video review on this one because I didn’t buy it.

But I did skim it in the shop, so I can speak to why it got a 3 of 5 in my book.

The story seemed boring in general, but I’ve always liked the idea of several versions of the same character coming together to achieve a common goal. I particularly like it when they’re alternate universe versions of each other, with no real difference in the actual person they are, other than the different life choices or maybe even just a difference in age.

This book is not quite that. A new being gathers a team of Captain Americas from throughout the timestream to help him achieve a goal. Among the team is John Walker after just having given up the Cap role, Steve Rogers from WWII, Bucky when he was cap, American Dream from a near future (actually an alternate universe), and another new Cap character from a far off future (probably another alternate universe too).

So while I like the idea, I don’t like the choices on the team here, and I don’t like the execution. Even worse, I don’t like the art.

So I didn’t buy it, but I’ll be monitoring the idea at least for the next issue.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 2 - Average
