The thrilling momentum of last issue's new direction didn't last long -- the story seemed to gloss quickly over the life-threatening wounds Sam Wilson sustained in a manner not unlike how Homer's cartoon "Poochie" was canceled within "The Simpsons." Couple that with a sketchy and loose rendering style courtesy of Mitch Breitweiser and Butch Guice, and you have a Captain America issue that doesn't live up to the expectations of last issue. Points, however, for BuckyCap laying the shield-pain on cops he druggily took to be Nazis.
