I never thought I'd see a new Gene Colan book again in my life. I am astounded that it not only is still great but has actually improved.

This story was amazingly emotive because of the art. The dark heavy lines worked so well.

 The story itself was okay. It was obviously written to be out of the current story just so Colan would have the time to write it, but the framing sequence could have been dropped or altered and it would have felt better.

 I like seeing the hard as nails Steve that Brubaker has been writing fighting the old costume villains that are such a rich part of his history.

I think this issue would have worked a lot better as an annual or one shot, but it was still very good.
