Rick Remender transports us once again to an other-worldly dimension reminicent of the early morning 70’s shows many of us grumpy old nerds have grown to love in this issue of Captain America.

The best way to read this issue is by slapping on an MST3K sub-commentary on each panel. ‘”This suit- its so uncomfortable”. Oh yeah? Try wearing your holographic head on your chest, kiddo.’ ‘Gee, steve. Why is your head so big back in the day. And you’re not even beaten to a bloddy pulp yet.’

The art is solid as usual from Mr. Romita Jr., but there are some panels that are not easily dicernable at first glance. Young people are still some of JRjr.’s weak points. Story is fine and remains in tone until the Care Bear steve roger cliff hanger at the end. Good or bad is up to you. I found it funny.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. The art in the flashback scenes is just bad. Romita’s children look like characters from “Peanuts.” There are twelve year olds who can draw better than that.
