I am really beginning to enjoy this series. I had never read anything by Dennis Hopeless, but I figured that an “X-Force” title after Rick Remender would have to be a step down, and likely a large step down. So far, this isn’t as good as “Uncanny X-Force,” but it is a quality product. It was a great idea to give Cable his new precognition powers. This way, X-Force can actually be what it was always billed as – a preemptive strike force. Cable sees the future, X-Force tries to head off the threats. I love that Domino is once again a regular in an X-book. I love Domino’s fun-loving, bad-ass attitude, and Hopeless gets her personality right. I love Domino’s beautiful face with its black lips and pale skin with a dark patch over the left eye. I wish Bryan Singer would realize that Domino should be in an X-Men movie. In this issue, Dom and Colossus share a night of no-strings (maybe) hot relations that could have some interesting repercussions. In Forge and Dr. Nemesis, this team has two scientific geniuses, so it’s natural and fun to see them engaged in a playful technological competition.
Salvador Larroca’s men look like men and his women look like women, which is no small achievement for some artists. I like his take on costumes, technology and facial expressions.
