I’m a sucker for X-related titles, and I’ve loved all of the storylines that have spun directly out of “Messiah Complex”.  While I was saddened by the loss of the Cable/Deadpool, dynamic, but I love Cable vs. Bishop.

The last issue featured X-Force, and threw Cyclops and Emma Frost more into the mix of the story.  Apart from Bishop, Cable, and the baby, the series is dealing with the same characters we’re being bludgeoned with in Uncanny, and Astonishing X-Men, but there’s some great character development, particularly with Cyclops and Emma, that I think is lacking in the other titles.

I was worried that the series was going to grow stale pretty quickly, but there’s a great big old surprising wrench thrown in this issue that I didn’t even consider (don’t worry, it doesn’t involve The Phoenix or Mephisto).
