I like the direction this series is going so far. It is making Cable more and more desperate each issue as something new goes wrong. It has also shown how far Bishop has fallen, and also how he rationalizes it away. This issue we see the future version of Cannonball, which is pretty cool. Considering his mentor was Cable, one of the toughest survivors in the Marvel U, it makes since Cannonball is the last X-Man. His arc, and especially his end show how he remained a hero until the end.
Each issue I get more comfortable with Olivetti's style. While he is not my favorite artist, his style continues to service the story, and he shows the brutality of Bishops actions in great detail here. The cliffhanger leaves me anticipating the showdown between these two, and will hopefully provide the direction for how the series will progress from here.
