Jeff Lemare is a great writer. I picked up this one shot simply because he was the author. I have never read any character piece on Ray Palmer -and I am only familiar with this character from this role during blackest night. With this one shot Lemare provides enough background information to offer a little history and at the same time making the events in this story very interesting. Ray Palmer is written as a classic superhero – it reminds of the current flash run by Johns. The art is well done, however, Lemare steals the show – I was interested in the events of this story from beginning to end – I will definitely pick up adventure comics once this story continues in that book.
