My faith in Brightest Day has been restored. I am still going to trade wait though...

   So I bought this issue because it said Hawkworld on the pretty-pink cover :) My awesome neighbor lent me Hawkworld almost two yrs. ago. I told him to take it back because I just cant read it, and he refuses to take it back till I read it. I can't explain my distaste for the look of it, it's like carrot top, I don't like the look of him but I can't say why. I figured this issue might help me want to read Hawkworld. At least give me a reason to give it a chance, like all those times I tried to listen to Carrot top.

   Yes this issue was very good, and I feel like it did reveal plenty. I enjoyed Aquamans commentary on off shore driling, and for those who are like I don't want the real world in comics, Aqua man lives in a world a lot like ours where people drive cars and use oil. It only makes sense that Aquaman of the 21st century would take direct action against off shore drilling. That's his home. It's also nice to know that Geoff Johns is improvising at times.

A big reveal was that they are still Black Lanterns. This leads me to think that they might have to prove themselves or something, and some will die again. Maybe this had already been revealed? I don't know I didn't read issue 3 or 4. The Mera reveal was pretty awesome, I should of seen it coming though. Her facial expression stood out to me, I really like her she's so cool.The art was very good too, I liked the Hawkworld scenes, they were fun. So I will read Hawkworld damn it!
